When a healthy self-esteem is not developed during the formative years, children learn to look outside of themselves for their identity and even their self-worth. Some children, as young adults, turn to substance abuse, the negative influence of some of their peers, unwanted pregnancy, and so on to secure a sense of belonging, based on their lack of self-esteem. The costs to a community are obvious; the involvement of police and the legal system, the negative impact on the schools, the need for counseling, the potential for unemployment, etc.

A Beautiful Me will help make a difference as others join us in creating an environment of young women that internalize their true beauty.

Our mission is to assist young ladies and women with confidence-building activities through successful, fun, interactive mentoring programs and workshops. Positive self-esteem will result in well-adjusted, confident, empowered women who positively impact their schools, community and society throughout the United States of America and beyond. Each attendee, mentor and parent will know themselves as a reflection of God's brilliance with self-worth that comes from within.
